About eyeliners.com
Eyeliners.com is an independent editorial site about one product category, done properly: eyeliner formats, technique for every eye shape, ingredient chemistry, and shortlists with an honest method behind them.
How we work
- One category, real depth. We would rather explain why liner smudges than publish a fiftieth generic "best makeup" list.
- Stated method. Shortlists are compiled from published specifications, full ingredient (INCI) lists and aggregated customer ratings across major retailers. We do not run laboratory tests, and we say so. Pages carry the month they were last reviewed.
- Disclosed affiliations. Retailer links may earn us a commission, disclosed on every page where they appear. Products are chosen before retailers are attached. Full disclosure.
- Sources on the page. Where a claim comes from published research or a professional body, we name it and link it, so you can check us rather than trust us.
What we are not
We are not a laboratory, we are not clinicians, and we do not employ a makeup artist to test products on our own faces and report back. Anyone claiming to have wear-tested forty liners in a month is describing a schedule that does not exist. Our value is in reading specifications, ingredient lists and the pattern of thousands of customer complaints carefully, and in explaining the mechanism behind what you are seeing on your own lids.
